Information:  The Commodore’s Ball is our first and most anticipated event of the year, setting the tone for the season ahead. This semi-formal evening brings members together for an elegant dinner and an evening of celebration, tradition, and camaraderie.

 The event features the official installation of the new officers, marking the transition of leadership and honoring the commitment of those stepping into their roles. We also take time to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements from the previous year, presenting awards that highlight the dedication, sportsmanship, and contributions of our members.

 Whether you are welcoming the new year, celebrating accomplishments, or simply enjoying a memorable night among friends, the Commodore’s Ball is a signature occasion not to be missed.

Captains’ Meeting

Time: 9:00am

Location:  LMYC Clubhouse

Information:  The Captains’ Meeting is a required pre-race briefing for all skippers and crew. Race officials will review the race course and route, discuss weather conditions and tides, and address safety requirements and considerations. This meeting ensures all participants have a shared understanding of race expectations and promotes a safe and successful event on the water.

Paddle Extravaganza

Information:  This lighthearted race launches from the Laguna Madre Yacht Club, heading east toward the swing bridge, looping around the sandbar, and back again. Any human-powered flotation is welcome—kayaks, paddleboards, rafts, inner tubes, inflatables… if you can paddle it, you can race it!
